Cluj-Napoca, October 11 – A new running experience emerges in the heart of Transylvania, inviting everyone – wellness enthusiasts, athletes, families and brands – to discover the city and its surroundings from a different perspective!
This autumn, CLUJ CONNECT RUN | GARMIN organized by the Romanian Alpine Club – Cluj Branch will transform Cluj-Napoca into a unique playground where urban energy meets the freedom of nature. On October 11, runners will leave the comfort of the city’s streets and alleys behind to embark o new journey through its green landscapes – from the vibrant riversides to the legendary trails of Hoia-Baciu Forest.
The adventure begins at Romulus Vuia Ethnographic Park , one of Cluj’s most representative cultural landmarks providing a spectacular backdrop for the start line! From there, the runners will experience the beauty of a course designed as a constant dialogue between the city and the natural environment.

The sporting event launches four official challenges, creating an opportunity for everyone to join – from toddlers to seniors, from recreational to professional runners!
- 21k Half Marathon – for those ready to test their endurance and mixed-terrain pace;
- 10 k Cross – for a cool mix of road and off-road adventure;
- 5k Fun Run – a light run for everyone willing to join;
- Family Run – an opportunity to get kids and parents in the same team!
For those ready to push a little further, the 21k Half Marathon and 10K routes feature a distinctive stair challenge, both on the descent and the ascent, that will test stamina, balance and determination.
