About the Event

City Meets Nature in Transylvania

CLUJ CONNECT RUN by GARMIN is a running experience that brings together the energy of the city and the beauty of nature in the heart of Transylvania: Cluj-Napoca.

The event takes runners through iconic green areas, including the legendary Hoia-Baciu Forestand the scenic banks of the Someș River. All races start and finish at the beautiful Romulus Vuia Ethnographic Park, providing a memorable setting for runners and supporters alike.

It’s an opportunity to explore familiar places from a new perspective: on foot, alongside a community passionate about movement and the outdoors.
The competition features 4 official races: Half – Marathon, 10k Cross, 5k Run and a Family Race.

What makes Cluj Connect Run special is the connection it creates between Cluj’s urban landscape and its surrounding natural environment. The route links the recently developed riverside areas and green space with the trails of Hoia-Baciu Forest and the cultural heritage of the Ethnographic Museum.

For those ready to push a little further, the Half Marathon and 10K routes feature a distinctive stair challenge (both on the descent and ascent) that tests both resilience and determination while adding a unique dimension to the course.
